The 2026 Family Grant application window will be from October 16th to October 31. 
This year, we are continuing with volunteer-based eligibility. Want to be eligible? It’s easier than ever to get involved, and we would love to have your support. To be considered for the Family Grant Program, simply complete one or more of the following:
  • Join a Planning Committee

    • Choose from: Buddy Walk, New Parent Outreach, Social Media, or Teen/Adult Programming.

  • Donate a Themed Basket

    • Support our Golf Outing or Buddy Walk by donating a creative, themed basket for our fundraising raffles.

  • Raise $300 or More for the 2026 Dayton Buddy Walk

Your involvement strengthens our community and helps us continue to serve families throughout the Miami Valley. Thank you for being a part of the MVDSA family.  We can’t wait to see what we can accomplish together!

What is the MVDSA Family Grant?

The MVDSA Family Grant Program supports families of individuals with Down syndrome by providing financial assistance for:

  • ​​Needed therapies

  • Physical and developmental activities

  • Developmental tools and services

Additional Information

  • For 2026 the board has approved up to $20,000.00

  • Individuals with Down syndrome must live in one of the following counties: Auglaize, Champaign, Clark, Darke, Greene, Logan, Mercer, Miami, Montgomery, Preble, or Shelby

  • Maximum grant award: Up to $400 (amounts vary depending on total applicants and funding available)

  • Applications will be reviewed in the order received

  • Decisions will be sent via email within 10–14 days after the cycle closes

  • Incomplete applications will not be considered

  • Service providers must meet MVDSA’s inclusivity standards

  • Grants are paid directly to qualifying service providers and vendors (No reimbursements to families, unless pre-approved in exceptional circumstances).
