Meet the MVDSA

The Miami Valley Down Syndrome Association (MVDSA) was formed in 1977 by parents who recognized the need for supporting families of individuals with Down syndrome. The MVDSA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization serving individuals with Down syndrome from birth through adulthood in eleven counties in the Miami Valley of Ohio, including Auglaize, Champaign, Clark, Darke, Greene, Logan, Mercer, Miami, Montgomery, Preble and Shelby. We are the primary resource in the Miami Valley for families and communities regarding Down syndrome, where all people are accepted, included and empowered.  We envision a community where people with Down syndrome have limitless opportunities and the ability to pursue their dreams.

We have numerous events throughout the year and focus efforts on awareness, acceptance and inclusion through social gatherings, fundraising and advocacy. We strive to provide information at our meetings that educates, inspires and motivates. Additionally, we aim to create public awareness so that our members can enjoy inclusion to the greatest degree possible.

We are a membership-based organization. Become a member today! Learn more here.
